I’m Samski, a 28-year-old mentally balanced bloke from Yate in South Gloucestershire. I moved out here to live by myself in August 2008 and I’m enjoying it immensely.
You may notice that many of my entries revolve around science and the misdirections of religion. I’m a pretty determined atheist, and I enjoy debating the finer points of reason, rationality and progress. I also have an interest in philosophy, particularly existentialism; thus I sometimes write up my theories and observations.
Other hobbies include reading and watching films; especially science fiction or comedy related. I also spend a lot of my online time on Dave Gorman’s forum (The Gorum). I also have an interest in writing. I haven’t published anything yet but that’s obviously because I’m pacing myself. :)
I like ducks. The blog name may have been a bit of a clue! I create duck avatars to use on the Gorum, blog and MSN. Other duck-based creations can be found here too!

I have a degenerative neurological condition known as Friedriech’s Ataxia, which I’ll be writing about. This isn’t a plea for sympathy, just something that has a major impact on my life, so I need to get my thoughts down about it.
